About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support Manufacturing Engineering activities, contributing to the development, implementation, improvement, and validation of processes in Stamping, Tooling, Body, Paint, Polymers, and Quality Assurance.
  • Support the planning and implementation of processes, equipment, materials, and product changes.
  • Monitor tests, tryouts, validations, and launches of new programs, models, and colors.
  • Analyze process and product issues, identify root causes, and support the definition of corrective actions.
  • Prepare and update process documentation, including work instructions, control plans, PFMEAs, specifications, and technical reports.
  • Collect and analyze production, quality, material consumption, and process performance data.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce losses, improve productivity, standardize processes, and reduce costs.
  • Collaborate with Production, Quality, Maintenance, Safety, Purchasing, Logistics, Product Engineering, and suppliers.
  • Monitor plant activities and verify that processes, equipment, and materials are ready for production.
  • Support the management of project schedules, costs, investments, and deliverables.
  • Participate in technical meetings with local, regional, global, and supplier teams.
  • Analyze layouts, 3D models, and tooling concepts, ensuring machine access, quality, ergonomics, safety, and performance requirements.
  • Perform process and robotics simulations using software such as Process Simulate.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Mechatronics, Chemical, Materials Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience or internship in Manufacturing Engineering, Process Engineering, Quality, or an industrial environment. Automotive experience is a plus.
  • Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes, problem-solving, and data analysis.
  • Intermediate English proficiency for reading, communication, and participation in technical meetings.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Availability to work on the shop floor and monitor activities at plants and suppliers.
  • Availability to work different shifts when necessary.
  • Knowledge of tools such as PFMEA, control plans, PPAP, GVDP, BOP, BoO, and validation processes is preferred.
  • Knowledge of NX / TCenter.
  • Experience with simulation software such as Process Simulate.
  • Experience in Stamping, Tooling, Body, Paint, Polymers, or Quality Assurance.
  • Experience with product launches, continuous improvement, automation, or process development.
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD, simulation tools, Power BI, Lean Manufacturing, or Six Sigma.
  • Knowledge of artificial intelligence tools and their practical applications in engineering, manufacturing, data analysis, or productivity improvement.
  • Familiarity with data analysis, automation, programming, process optimization, or digital manufacturing concepts.
  • Knowledge of GD&T and dimensional capability/repeatability studies.
  • Basic Spanish.
  • Knowledge of Google Workspace.
  • Valid Class B driver’s license.
