About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform day-to-day HR business activities and partner with business function counterparts on initiatives aligned with GM’s objectives, mission, and culture
- Partner with directors, executives, and business leaders to define talent identification and management strategies
- Improve working relationships, build engagement, increase output, and attract and retain talent
- Provide direction on restructures, transformation efforts, job design, workforce planning, and organizational planning
- Create a high-touch HR experience by supporting employees with questions, concerns, and engagement
- Communicate HR policies, procedures, laws, standards, and government regulations and provide guidance
- Support talent and performance management, including coaching, consulting, corrective actions, and crisis relations
- Support expatriate assignments and related HR matters
- Partner with Business HR on talent management, development, compensation, and calibration cycles
- Support complex employee relations issues and investigations with the Policy & Investigation COE
- Support onboarding and conduct exit interviews
- Analyze attrition data and develop corrective-action and continuous-improvement recommendations
- Facilitate or provide workforce training
- Consult on employee compensation and pay-for-performance and recognition programs
- Identify continuous-improvement opportunities and provide field perspective to influence HR processes and procedures
Requirements
What you’ll need- University Graduate
- Mandatory experience in Human Resources
- Advanced English is mandatory
- Portuguese is desirable
- Understanding of legal requirements related to employee management, legal risk reduction, and regulatory compliance
- Strong financial and forecasting acumen
- Deep understanding of GM’s brands, company, function, and products
- No immigration-related sponsorship is provided; candidates requiring GM immigration sponsorship now or in the future should not apply
- Must be able to report to the specific location at least 3 times a week, or at another frequency dictated by the manager
- Relocation benefits are not provided; relocation costs are the selected candidate’s responsibility
