About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Develop software to increase the capabilities, fidelity, observability, and scale of the HIL Platform and Integration services
Deliver reliable software through requirements generation, continuous integration, automated testing, issue tracking, and code reviews
Collaborate with colleagues across multiple teams within the core AV organization
Deliver complex projects through incremental development
Work at the intersection of AV software, AI models, and hardware systems for vehicle autonomy
Run, deploy, and test software on next-generation GM autonomous vehicles
Manage and deploy HIL Services as a Platform as a Service (PaaS)

Requirements

What you’ll need

2+ years of experience writing production-quality software
Strong system fundamentals and coding abilities in Python and C++
Understanding of how to design high-performant software components
Experience developing in a Linux environment
BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field
Preferred: Experience optimizing and/or evaluating complex software systems on dedicated hardware
Preferred: Experience with ROS architectures
Preferred: Experience with low-latency or real-time systems
Preferred: Experience in the AV industry
Preferred: Experience with SQL
Preferred: Working experience with large build systems such as Bazel
