About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead the design, development, and implementation of complex data science solutions
Manage unstructured and multi-structured data
Design, build, train, and deploy Generative AI and machine learning models
Solve predictive and prescriptive problems across various domains
Forecast trends, identify risks, and optimize operational processes using advanced analytics
Create data visualizations to communicate findings and recommendations
Collaborate with engineering, product, and business teams
Mentor junior data scientists
Contribute to the growth and development of GM's data science community

Requirements

What you’ll need

Master's in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Operations Research, Statistics, or a related quantitative field
5+ years of progressive experience in data science or a related analytical role
Strong proficiency in Python, vector databases, and similarity search engines
Hands-on experience with foundation models (LLMs) for structured reasoning tasks
Experience with RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) architecture and implementation
Experience with agentic framework design and multi-agent system orchestration
Experience with Human-in-the-loop (HITL) workflow design
Familiarity with Kiro, Agent Strands, Bedrock AgentCore, and Bedrock Knowledge Base
Demonstrated ability to apply predictive and prescriptive analytics to real-world business problems
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Ph.D. in a related quantitative field is preferred
Automotive experience is a plus
