About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Define, implement and optimize system testing for ADAS platform software
- Deliver integrated hardware, software and calibration for Development, Production and Service according to standard processes
- Support software teams in developing and executing Key Behavior Tests and Milestone Tests manually and through automation
- Lead testing, automation and issue-resolution activities and guide team members
- Verify control module functionality on benches and in vehicles, including perception, lateral and longitudinal control, mapping and localization systems
- Develop test protocols and scripts for hardware and software integration validation
- Support continuous development of test features, processes and methodologies
- Collaborate with multiple agile teams to deliver end-to-end products and features from conception through delivery
- Mentor junior team members through coaching and guidance
- Support Problem Resolution and Tracking Systems and Global Incident Management
- Participate in development trips, assembly plant activities, prototype shops, garages and fleet testing; less than 10% travel
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Software/Computer/Electrical/Embedded Systems/Electronics Engineering or equivalent work experience
- 5+ years’ experience with software development, software integration and/or software testing
- Software experience, preferably in C/C++, with exposure to bash, Python and Windows batch scripting
- Knowledge and experience in safety critical embedded control system integration and testing in a HIL environment
- Ability to independently investigate issues based on limited information and resolve complex problems
- Creative, disciplined, strong sense of responsibility, delivery, and schedule commitment
- Must have a valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to drive test vehicles for GM
- Ability to legally operate a motor vehicle on a regular basis and successfully complete a Motor Vehicle Report review
- Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, asylee or refugee) due to export control restrictions
- Preferred: Understanding of ADAS, Software Defined Vehicle, Motion Control, Automotive Network and Powertrain systems
- Preferred: Experience with Linux or QNX OS/file system
- Preferred: Experience with CANoe, Vehicle Spy, INCA or AutoVAL
- Preferred: Knowledge of serial data communications including Ethernet, CAN and LIN
- Preferred: Exposure to Adaptive AUTOSAR service-based vehicle platform
- Preferred: Exposure to CI/CD development methodologies
- Preferred: Experience with Unit Test tools such as CppUTest and Google Test and Jenkins plugins
- Preferred: Experience with Agile/SAFe methodologies
