About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead business strategic planning, direction, and development of existing business opportunities for International Tactical Communications and Information Systems (TacCIS)
- Lead new strategic initiatives to ensure long-term sustainable growth
- Own the end-to-end growth pipeline for a defined geographic region
- Identify, qualify, and secure new contracts
- Deepen relationships with existing programs
- Conduct continuous market size, trend, and competitor analysis
- Build and maintain a strategic opportunity pipeline
- Identify emerging defence budget programs, procurement cycles, and policy shifts
- Develop business cases and strategic plans for pursuits and capture activities
- Make strategic relevance, price-to-win, teaming, and expansion recommendations
- Build and maintain networks with government, OEMs, and industrial colleagues
- Generate leads through intelligence and industry events
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard strategic channel partners
- Collaborate with partners and subcontractors on joint value propositions and marketing
- Assess strengths and weaknesses of potential partners and competitors
- Work with solution architecture, product line management, and engineering to craft value-based proposals
- Map TacCIS capabilities to customer mission objectives
- Work with product management on roadmap prioritization based on market feedback
- Plan and represent International TacCIS at conferences, trade shows, press releases, brochures, briefings, and technical symposiums
- Publish white papers, case studies, and briefings
- Conduct negotiations with customers, senior government stakeholders, partners, and corporate stakeholders
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in business, International Relations, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
- Strong understanding of the Land C5ISR market
- Experience in a defence-related industrial sector, including technical, project management, or marketing/business development
- Successful track record of sales in markets with a long sales cycle
- Experience with international defense sales
- Knowledge and track record of working procurement processes throughout the world
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Canadian government security clearance
- Must meet applicable Canadian Controlled Goods program and security assessment requirements
- Must be eligible to work in Canada
