About the role
- Negotiate favorable terms, volume discounts and long-term contracts with suppliers
- Prepare and process requisitions and purchase orders for goods, services and supplies
- Develop and execute sourcing strategy, evaluate product offerings and recommend suppliers
- Gather business requirements and pre-qualify potential suppliers
- Develop and distribute RFPs/RFQs and collect bids
- Evaluate proposals/quotes and recommend suppliers based on quality and cost
- Work with selected suppliers to develop mutually acceptable contractual agreements
- Oversee tactical purchasing operations such as issuance of purchase orders and invoice payment
- Ensure procurement activities comply with internal policies and external regulations
- May lead functional teams or projects and work independently with minimal guidance
- Hybrid position: 3 days onsite, work from home other days; 9/80 schedule
Requirements
- Associate's Degree and 8-10 years' experience
- Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain or related degree
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
