About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform analysis of system operations
- Decompose systems via OMG frameworks, including UML, DoDAF 2.0/UPDM, SysML, and UAF
- Model systems from capability, operational, system, and functional perspectives at various abstraction levels
- Use UML modeling tools, preferably Cameo Enterprise Architect
- Meet with stakeholders across system domains
- Analyze requirements, processes, systems, and capabilities
- Extend UML-based models to other tools or modeling environments through frameworks and APIs
- Work with executable models, preferably using the fUML specification
- Generate and produce data and reports
- Interact professionally with customers and peers while providing positive customer service
- Perform other assigned duties and responsibilities
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5+ years of related experience
- BA/BS in an engineering discipline such as aerospace, electrical, mechanical, or software
- Additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of the degree; 10 total years of applicable experience in lieu of a degree
- Must currently possess a Secret security clearance
- Must be able to obtain a Secret security clearance
- US Citizenship required
- Capability in system modeling and systems design
- Knowledge of Unified Modeling Language (UML)
- Ability to perform system decomposition using UML, DoDAF 2.0/UPDM, SysML, and UAF
- Familiarity with UML modeling tools; Cameo Enterprise Architect preferred
- Familiarity with executable models; fUML specification preferred
- Ability to generate data and reports
- OCSMP or similar modeling certification desired
- Experience modeling complex systems for the Department of War or other government organizations desired
- Experience with configuration management/version control tools such as Git desired
- Experience publishing models to web-based or document-based formats desired
- Experience designing applications using object-oriented patterns such as OOSEM desired
- Experience designing applications from a published API desired
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, and Excel desired
- Strong written and verbal communication and customer service skills
- Ability to multitask, prioritize commitments, manage time effectively, and maintain attention to detail
- Remote work requires proximity to Hanscom or a DAF base for occasional onsite duties
- Less than 10% travel required
