About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Enable the integration of video services into the Department of Defense (DoD)
- Provide technical direction and coordinate a team of engineers
- Drive engineering strategy for contemporary IP Video systems
- Ensure compliance with DoD directives and guidelines
- Develop and maintain critical system documentation
- Lead activities related to engineering lab environment
- Serve as an expert for migration from legacy video infrastructure
- Develop System Capacity Expansion Plans
- Perform QA and performance checks on UC telecommunications design
Requirements
What you’ll need- 10+ years of related experience
- BA/BS and 10+ years of related experience or 14 years of related experience in lieu of a degree
- UC Networking Expertise: 3+ years in real‑time communications (VoIP/Video)
- Deep SIP/SDP/RTP/SRTP/TLS/WebRTC expertise
- Hands-on experience with Cisco VCS Control / Expressway (C & E series)
- SIP/H.323 interworking and traversal zone configuration
- Experience with Prexip, Poly, or Cisco hardware video endpoints
- Strong grasp of information technology principles
- Extensive support knowledge in DNS, certificates/PKI, TLS, signaling/media, AD, PowerShell, APIs/REST
- Proven troubleshooting across signaling/media layers
