Key responsibilities & impact

Transform technology into opportunity as a Web Developer at GDIT
Support the Shipboard Advanced Tactical Data Link Engineering Support program
Analyze existing applications, document functionality, and inventory components
Develop process maps and maintain Entity Relationship Diagrams
Define web application architecture and develop wireframes and user workflows
Develop and maintain a responsive React-based web application
Design and develop backend services and REST APIs
Implement cybersecurity measures and support Federal authentication requirements
Maintain and enhance existing reporting capabilities
Conduct testing, validation, and User Acceptance Testing with Navy users

Requirements

What you’ll need

2+ years of professional software or web application development experience
Experience developing production applications using JavaScript and React
Experience with HTML and CSS and the development of responsive user interfaces
Experience developing reusable front-end components
Experience using Redux, Redux Toolkit, React Context, or another application state-management approach
Experience integrating front-end applications with REST APIs or other data services
Experience creating data-driven interfaces such as dashboards, reports, tables, charts, search tools, or monitoring displays
Working knowledge of SQL and relational database concepts
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Engineering or a related technical discipline
Certification Requirements: 8570/8140 - IAT II CompTIA Security+ CE.
