About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Transform technology into opportunity as a Web Developer at GDIT
  • Support the Shipboard Advanced Tactical Data Link Engineering Support program
  • Analyze existing applications, document functionality, and inventory components
  • Develop process maps and maintain Entity Relationship Diagrams
  • Define web application architecture and develop wireframes and user workflows
  • Develop and maintain a responsive React-based web application
  • Design and develop backend services and REST APIs
  • Implement cybersecurity measures and support Federal authentication requirements
  • Maintain and enhance existing reporting capabilities
  • Conduct testing, validation, and User Acceptance Testing with Navy users

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 2+ years of professional software or web application development experience
  • Experience developing production applications using JavaScript and React
  • Experience with HTML and CSS and the development of responsive user interfaces
  • Experience developing reusable front-end components
  • Experience using Redux, Redux Toolkit, React Context, or another application state-management approach
  • Experience integrating front-end applications with REST APIs or other data services
  • Experience creating data-driven interfaces such as dashboards, reports, tables, charts, search tools, or monitoring displays
  • Working knowledge of SQL and relational database concepts
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Engineering or a related technical discipline
  • Certification Requirements: 8570/8140 - IAT II CompTIA Security+ CE.
