About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Attend and participate in meetings during normal duty hours, professional staff conferences and other appropriate professional activities
- Review applied research and incorporate best practices into suicide prevention policy, programming, and initiatives across their Component
- Apply social work procedures and techniques in the evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of psychological and neuropsychological disorders
- Consult with medical personnel, legal authorities, military commanders and school districts as required.
- Provide clinical supervision of unlicensed providers or trainees
Requirements
What you’ll need- Master of Social Work (M.S.W.) or equivalent (MSSW, MSSA) degree from a graduate school of social work fully accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE)
- Minimum of two (2) years peer-reviewable clinical social work experience in a mental health setting
- Experience in brief behavioral interventions
- Demonstrate a working knowledge of professional standards and ethics regarding the delivery of clinical social work services
- Experience working in a government setting such as DoW or VA MTF is preferable.
- Secret or Top-Secret Clearance, or the ability to obtain clearance.
