About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide technical leadership in cloud security architecture, monitoring, and incident response for multi-CSP environments
  • Implement security baselines and enforce policy as code
  • Support compliance with FedRAMP High, NIST 80053, and VA 6500 requirements
  • Integrate cloud environments with SOC, SIEM, CDM, and vulnerability tools
  • Support security authorization through documentation and evidence creation
  • Develop policy as code controls and automated remediation workflows
  • Manage encryption, key management, and data protection controls
  • Support vulnerability management and incident forensics
  • Drive incident response coordination with VA CSOC, US‑CERT, and federal law enforcement
  • Lead IAM integrations (SAML/OIDC, Entra ID, SailPoint, Okta), RBAC design, MFA enforcement, and quarterly access reviews

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • US Citizen or Green Card Holder
  • Ability to obtain a Public Trust
  • 6+ years of cybersecurity experience
  • 3+ years supporting FedRAMP High (or equivalent) environments
  • CISSP or CCSP certification
  • One CSP-specific cloud security certification (AWS Security Specialty, Azure Security Engineer, etc.)
  • Experience with federal SOC operations and cloud incident response
  • Understanding of Zero Trust architectures
  • Experience with automated compliance scanning and SOAR tooling
  • Experience with FedRAMP compliance and ATO maintenance
  • Experience with vulnerability management, incident response coordination, and forensic support
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Effective communicator across technical and leadership teams
