Key responsibilities & impact

Create, update, and maintain technical documentation, including full diagram schematics, manuals, and operational procedures
Develop and maintain comprehensive Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms) to support project management, workflows, and compliance efforts
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, project managers, and subject matter experts
Ensure all documentation complies with organizational policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards
Review and edit existing documentation for accuracy, completeness, and alignment with current systems or requirements
Maintain records of revisions, version control, and documentation repositories

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in Technical Writing, Communications, English, or related field
Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Technical Writer
Familiarity with industry-standard writing styles or government-specific guidelines
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to quickly understand and translate technical information and concepts into clear documentation
Experience developing and maintaining POA&Ms or similar project plans
