About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Maintain smooth operation of local area, worldwide, and virtual private networks (VPN)
Plan, evaluate, design, and coordinate installation and/or reconfiguration of hardware and software elements of data and/or voice communication networks
Maintain technical expertise in all areas of networks and computer hardware and software interconnection and interfacing
Propose solutions to management to ensure all communications requirements based on future needs and current usage
Prepare or ensure that appropriate network documentation exists, including operational instructions
Provide regular monitoring and network analysis regarding short- and long-range planning for in-house systems
May coordinate third-party maintenance for network equipment
May design network or portion of network that includes selection and recommendation of hardware and software packages

Requirements

What you’ll need

Must have a current and active Secret clearance
Network analysis experience - 3 years of experience
IAT Level II (Security+ or equivalent certification) desired
Must be able to read and understand schematics and designs
Must hold a valid Driver's License
Knowledge of low voltage hardware desired
Experience with using Hand and Power Tools desired
Ability to travel frequently
Candidate must be local to Southeast region of the U.S. for customer travel
Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering or Computer Science (desired)
4+ years of experience in lieu of degree
