About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Analyze, design, develop, implement, and support SQL infrastructure deployment and management
- Manage the functionality and efficiency of a group of servers running on one or more operating systems
- Maintain the integrity and security of servers and systems
- Set up administrator and service accounts
- Maintain system documentation
- Interact with users and evaluate vendor products
- Develop and monitor policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources
- Develop and implement testing strategies and document results
- Provide advice on performance tuning and training to end-users
- Maintain current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned
- Participate in special projects as required
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelors Degree in a Computer Science or related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience
- 5 + years of related database analysis and/or administration experience
- SQL experience required
- Oracle database administration a plus
- CompTIA Security+ or equivalent recommended
- Experience in Oracle or SQL administration/tuning; including knowledge and implementation of database high-availability solutions (Windows Server Failover Clusters, SQL Server Failover Cluster instances, and AlwaysOn Availability groups)
- Experience in monitoring, creating, and managing SQL server agent alerts
- Experience with Database backup, restore, migration, and Database snapshot technologies/strategies
- Knowledge on how to build/maintain efficient database table structures for both transactional and warehouse data
- Knowledge of Oracle 19c administration and performance tuning
- Migration experience with MySQL and PostgresSQL
- Candidates must hold a TS/SCI
