About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design, implement, and manage security measures to protect network and information systems
Configure, manage, and troubleshoot Palo Alto firewalls to ensure optimal performance and security
Deploy and manage Palo Alto firewalls in cloud environments, including AWS, GCP, and Azure
Investigate and respond to security incidents and potential threats, providing timely and effective resolutions
Develop and enforce security policies, procedures, and standards in alignment with organizational goals
Monitor network traffic and security alerts to identify and mitigate potential threats
Work with other IT and security team members to design, implement, and maintain security frameworks
Maintain detailed and accurate records of configurations, changes, and security incidents

Requirements

What you’ll need

Education: Bachelor of Science
Experience: 5+ years of related experience
Technical skills: In-depth knowledge of Palo Alto firewall configuration and management
Strong experience with deploying and managing Palo Alto firewalls in cloud environments, including AWS, GCP, and Azure
Strong understanding of network protocols, firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and other security technologies
Proven experience with other security devices and platforms
Relevant certifications such as Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer (PCNSE) or AWS Certified Security - Specialty are a plus.
