About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design, implement, and maintain enterprise Linux-based infrastructure in both on-prem and virtualized environments
- Develop and maintain automation solutions using Ansible and scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python)
- Standardize system configuration, patching, and deployment processes through infrastructure-as-code practices
- Administer and support Red Hat ecosystem tools, including Satellite and Capsule
- Integrate and manage authentication and authorization mechanisms (e.g., OAuth, SSO, identity providers)
- Support and optimize virtualized environments, including platforms such as Nutanix
- Support the development of dashboards using observability solutions using tools such as Grafana and Zabbix
- Troubleshoot complex system, performance, and integration issues across distributed environments
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve system reliability, scalability, and operational efficiency
- Document system architecture, processes, and automation workflows
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, including automation maturity and operational best practices
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5+ years of related experience
- Solid understanding of system administration fundamentals (networking, storage, security, OS internals)
- Strong expertise in configuration management and automation using Ansible
- Proficiency in scripting (Bash, Python, or similar) for automation and tooling
- Experience managing Red Hat-based environments (RHEL, Satellite, Capsule or similar tools)
- Experience troubleshooting complex infrastructure and performance issues
- Experience implementing security best practices in Linux environments
- Experience with virtualization platforms such as Nutanix
- Experience with monitoring and alerting systems
- Active TS/SCI clearance required and eligibility to obtain a CI poly
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical discipline, or equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience
