About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support data collection and analysis for a government program
- Enhance and develop reporting and analytics capabilities
- Support forecast modeling, develop automated reporting solutions and dashboards
- Build briefing products, conduct analyses, and coordinate data collection efforts
- Monitor and support individual team members' progress
- Provide updates and guidance per DAIM requirements
- Complete annual performance evaluations
- Prepare and present findings to agency leadership
- Oversee quality and production of analytical reports
- Compile, analyze, and visualize data using a data visualization platform like Power BI or Tableau
Requirements
What you’ll need- 8+ years of related experience
- Bachelor’s degree in data science, data analytics, or similar degree
- Prior experience leading data projects and initiatives or data centric teams
- Familiarity working with sensitive-PII and integrity in protecting customer data
- Working knowledge of data visualization platforms (Tableau or Power BI)
- Working knowledge of scripting languages (R, Python)
- Working knowledge of SQL and familiarity with relational databases
- Advanced skills in Excel and VBA
- Exceptional analytical and strong attention to detail
- Experience working with immigrants, refugees, and underserved populations is preferred
