About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Provide technical support for the development, engineering, APIs, integration, and testing of specific components of complex cloud applications
Conduct requirements analysis and functional allocation
Conduct systems requirements reviews
Develop concepts of operation and interface standards
Develop system architectures
Perform technical/non-technical assessments
Serve as the principal IT engineer to provide engineering expertise and guidance for the design, development, implementation, and sustainment of IT solutions
Act as primary liaison between NAVSUP OIS customer and third-party cloud broker (NAVAIR) in operational maintenance of the NAVSUP OIS Cloud architecture and ecosystem
Assist in development of agile methodology (SAFe, Scrum, Scrum of Scrums, Kanban, DevSecOps)
Conduct engineering system development tasks including system requirements analysis, architecture and design, system integration, formal verification, and formal validation
Produce technical documentation in support of engineering solutions

Requirements

What you’ll need

8 + years of related experience
U.S. Citizenship Required
CompTIA Security+ CE Certification
BA/BS or equivalent experience
Extensive understanding and experience programming and designing software using Terraform, Ansible, Java, J2EE, Oracle, WebLogic, Tomcat and AWS cloud services
Experience with modern development software, tools, and methodologies; Jenkins, GitLab Ultimate, Jira, Nexus, Maven, OpenShift, SonarQube, Fortify, Junit, Karma, Selenium, Cyprus, Docker, Artifactory
Demonstrated expertise in systems engineering, including requirements analysis and system architecture design
Demonstrated experience in network and cyber security design, engineering, and operations with emphasis on Navy capabilities
At least one nationally recognized vendor certification
Navy experience
