About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Create, update, and maintain technical documentation, including full diagram schematics, manuals, and operational procedures
- Develop and maintain comprehensive Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms) to support project management, workflows, and compliance efforts
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, project managers, and subject matter experts, to gather and organize technical information
- Ensure all documentation complies with organizational policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards
- Review and edit existing documentation for accuracy, completeness, and alignment with current systems or requirements
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Technical Writing, Communications, English, or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Technical Writer
- Familiarity with industry-standard writing styles or government-specific guidelines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to quickly understand and translate technical information and concepts into clear documentation
- Experience developing and maintaining POA&Ms or similar project plans
- Familiarity with Agile or ITIL frameworks, as related to technical writing
