About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support mission-critical initiatives and enable growth as an Oracle Applications Architect at GDIT
  • Lead architecture, design, implementation and optimization of Oracle ERP solutions
  • Manage the transition from legacy finance systems
  • Coordinate legacy data archiving and decommissioning efforts
  • Manage complex data conversion projects into current financial systems
  • Design integration frameworks using tools such as Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), APIs (REST/SOAP), and middleware platforms
  • Manage configuration, implementation, and optimization of Oracle Financials, Procurement and Supply Chain
  • Lead migration strategies and data integration efforts between financial systems
  • Develop and manage processes for archiving, tracking, coordinating, and decommissioning legacy systems
  • Coordinate with technical teams to phase out legacy applications
  • Act as subject matter expert (SME) to provide guidance on ERP systems, data conversion methodologies, legacy archiving, and compliance standards
  • Monitor, review, and optimize performance of Oracle ERP solutions, legacy systems, and data conversion pipelines
  • Identify and implement automation opportunities to improve efficiency for data migration and legacy system archiving processes

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum of 15+ years of professional experience in Oracle EBS or Oracle ERP Cloud, and enterprise system architecture
  • In lieu of degree, 4 additional yrs of related work experience is required
  • Strong expertise with Oracle financials, procurement, supply chain applications, including data migration methodologies and tools
  • Hands-on experience managing large-scale data conversion or data migration projects
  • Proficient in Oracle development tools (SQL, PL/SQL), Oracle Analytics (OTBI, BI Publisher), and middleware technologies
  • Proven track record of managing legacy system lifecycle processes, including data archiving, accessibility, and decommissioning
  • Strong understanding of data governance, compliance standards and best practices for maintaining data integrity
  • Exceptional project management skills, including the ability to manage competing priorities and complex multi-stakeholder projects
