About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Support mission-critical initiatives and enable growth as an Oracle Applications Architect at GDIT
Lead architecture, design, implementation and optimization of Oracle ERP solutions
Manage the transition from legacy finance systems
Coordinate legacy data archiving and decommissioning efforts
Manage complex data conversion projects into current financial systems
Design integration frameworks using tools such as Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), APIs (REST/SOAP), and middleware platforms
Manage configuration, implementation, and optimization of Oracle Financials, Procurement and Supply Chain
Lead migration strategies and data integration efforts between financial systems
Develop and manage processes for archiving, tracking, coordinating, and decommissioning legacy systems
Coordinate with technical teams to phase out legacy applications
Act as subject matter expert (SME) to provide guidance on ERP systems, data conversion methodologies, legacy archiving, and compliance standards
Monitor, review, and optimize performance of Oracle ERP solutions, legacy systems, and data conversion pipelines
Identify and implement automation opportunities to improve efficiency for data migration and legacy system archiving processes

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field
Minimum of 15+ years of professional experience in Oracle EBS or Oracle ERP Cloud, and enterprise system architecture
In lieu of degree, 4 additional yrs of related work experience is required
Strong expertise with Oracle financials, procurement, supply chain applications, including data migration methodologies and tools
Hands-on experience managing large-scale data conversion or data migration projects
Proficient in Oracle development tools (SQL, PL/SQL), Oracle Analytics (OTBI, BI Publisher), and middleware technologies
Proven track record of managing legacy system lifecycle processes, including data archiving, accessibility, and decommissioning
Strong understanding of data governance, compliance standards and best practices for maintaining data integrity
Exceptional project management skills, including the ability to manage competing priorities and complex multi-stakeholder projects
