Build, design, test, and deploy perimeter security systems including firewalls and proxy devices
Responsible for firewall rule changes and security recommendations
Manage and support all Network security hardware, software, and cloud security services
Collaborate with existing CyberOps staff and federal management
Drive key outcomes and direct team innovation
Plan, document, and implement hardware and software refresh of security devices
Conduct periodic firewall rule set review and auditing
Create and maintain standard operating procedures for perimeter hardware and software
Attend teleconferences, onsite meetings, and participate in working groups as needed

Requirements

10+ years of related experience
US Citizenship Required
IT network engineering support experience (Tier II, Tier III)
3+ years supporting cloud environments such as AWS and Azure
IPv6 knowledge and implementation experience
Competence with Linux and firewall command line interfaces
Expert experience in security devices: Palo Alto Firewalls, Cisco ASA/Firepower, etc.
Intermediate Linux experience with command line and understanding of basic scripting
Firsthand experience in developing quality assurance review of engineering change orders
Experienced with performing root cause analysis, risk identification and mitigation
Experienced with network monitoring and log analysis applications such as Splunk Enterprise, Nagios, etc.
Clearance level: Q level clearance or equivalent
