About the role

  • Providing project coordination support to executive and senior leadership to ensure that projects are well organized and running smoothly
  • Coordinating information and deadlines across projects
  • Managing document repositories, and developing project artifacts such as reports and presentations
  • Supporting executive management with a variety of administrative tasks
  • Coordination with onsite seating and events, travel, calendars and other important scheduling needs
  • Anticipating conflicts and identifying early resolution of an operational or technical nature
  • Monitoring multiple shared Outlook mailboxes and calendars
  • Preparing, organizing, and maintaining executive documents, presentations, correspondence, and other confidential files/sensitive information in compliance with privacy and security standards
  • Providing recruiting and talent acquisition support
  • Assisting with creation of job requisitions, tracking candidate progress, and coordinating interviews
  • Entering pertinent information into a variety of automated tracking systems
  • Maintaining program-specific data to track items such as staffing, onboarding and offboarding, project milestones, progress reports, funding and expenditure data
  • Ensuring SharePoint, Teams, Confluence, and/or similar platforms are maintained
  • Serving as back-up facilities contact for building facilities officials
  • Supporting working groups and meetings, including collecting and distributing meeting materials, documenting and distribution of meeting minutes and action items

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years’ of relevant experience, preferably in legal studies, paralegal studies, or business administration
  • 1+ years of experience in an administrative, legal administrative, paralegal, or compliance-support role
  • Experience handling confidential and/or sensitive information
  • Technical competency and/or the ability to learn collaborative tools such as Microsoft SharePoint, Power Automate, Power Apps and/or Confluence
  • Proficient in other Microsoft Office applications, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Demonstrated client‑facing skills, including clear communication, active listening, and the ability to manage expectations effectively
  • Must be able to work onsite in GDIT’s Windsor Mill, MD facility at least 3-4 days a week
  • Candidate must be able to obtain Public Trust clearance
  • Candidate must have lived in the United States at least three (3) out of the last five (5) years
