About the role
- Provide project management for software release and operational task management
- Coach internal and external scrum team members on SAFe Essential
- Plan time-boxed sprint planning and execution
- Schedule and conduct daily scrums, backlog reviews, and retrospectives
- Gather and disseminate project information; document team agreements, sprint plans, release plans, and retrospectives
- Create an environment of team spirit and excitement around deliverables
- Proactively resolve conflicts and escalate appropriately
- Conduct meetings with clients to gather information for team deliveries
- Support other team capability areas and quality assurance activities
- Perform general project management and coordination tasks as needed
- Train new team members on Agile development using SAFe Agile methodology
- Act as liaison between development teams and product management
- Identify and resolve impediments preventing the team from meeting goals
- Motivate teams and ensure collective responsibility for committed work
- Provide reports based on team capacity and performance against capacity
- Serve as an advisor for up to three medium size Agile teams and coach less-experienced professionals
Requirements
- 5+ years of related experience
- 5+ years of Scrum Master experience or the equivalent combination of education and experience
- BA/BS in related field
- Skills: Agile Methodology, Problem Solving, Project Management, Scrum
- Experience with Scrum Master/Agile/Kanban
- Experience with Jira, Confluence, and Atlassian tools
- Experience with SharePoint, MS Office (including MS Project)
- Experience with SAFe Agile methodologies
- Medicare or healthcare Project Management experience
- Must be able to pass a Public Trust
- Applicants shall have lived in the United States at least three (3) out of the last five (5) years prior to submitting an application for a Federal ID Card
- US Citizenship not required
- Scrum Master certification preferred
- Prior Agile project experience in the federal space preferred
- Knowledge of backlog tracking, burn down metrics, velocity, task definition, iterative development, translating requirements into user stories, and software development/integration processes
