Develop and optimize system architectures to meet operational requirements
Engage with technical stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into robust infrastructure solutions
Oversee the management and configuration of virtualized environments (VMware, Hyper-V)
Implement, configure, and maintain automation processes using PowerShell, Ansible
Configure and manage firewalls, access controls, and other security measures
Diagnose and resolve complex system issues
Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity solutions
Oversee the integration of software and hardware
Prepare and maintain comprehensive system documentation
Work with vendors to evaluate and integrate emerging technologies

Requirements

5+ years of related experience
Extensive experience in systems engineering and infrastructure management
Strong understanding of virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V)
Expertise in networking protocols, security technologies, and firewalls
Advanced proficiency in scripting (PowerShell, Python)
Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure issues
Experience in preparing detailed system documentation and operational procedures
Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles and tools
Strong collaboration and communication skills for working with cross-functional teams
Certification: DoD 8140 or DoD 8570 Certification (or equivalent)
