About the role
- Join the Program Oversight Group to support Medicare Coordination of Benefits and Recovery (COB&R) program
- Gain an expert understanding of a complex data environment and lead data analysis efforts
- Develop complex queries in a variety of environments to compile data and draw meaningful conclusions on program health
- Assist with the design, maintenance, problem resolution, and troubleshooting of all data analysis activities
- Develop processes using Data Analysis and BI tools to assist in advanced data analysis tasks
- Develops and conducts tests to ensure data solutions meet documented user requirements
- Work with stakeholders including the Executive, Product, Data, and Design teams to assist with data-related technical issues and support their data analysis needs
- Coordinate with the project team to identify future needs and requirements
- Perform unit tests and conduct reviews with other team members to ensure solutions are rigorously designed and tuned for performance
- May coach and review the work of less-experienced professionals
- Ensure deliverables are completed on time and of high-quality
- Maintain current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned
- Support multiple projects in a matrixed environment and reprioritize efforts as needed
Requirements
- 8+ years of related experience (or Master's degree and 6+ years of related experience)
- Bachelor’s degree in an IT-related discipline (Master’s degree preferred)
- Proven work experience as a Data Analyst, Data Architect, or similar role
- Skills: AWS Glue, Data Analysis, Git, Statistical Analysis, Structured Query Language (SQL)
- Expert Development of SQL jobs and scripts
- In-depth understanding of Relational Database structure principles
- Experience gathering and analyzing system requirements
- Data Analysis and BI Tools – SageMaker, Athena, QuickSight, etc. preferred
- Data Warehouse or Large Data Environments – Data Lake, Snowflake, etc.
- DBeaver or comparable SQL tool
- Experience with Git/GitHub is highly desirable
- Experience supporting Federal, civilian and health agencies is a plus
- Experience with healthcare and claims data is a plus
- Candidate must have lived in US for at least 3 of the past 5 years and must pass a public trust background investigation

- Clearance: NACI (T1) public trust/other required
