About the role
- Collect, organize, record, and communicate data relevant to primary health assessments
- Assess patients via the telephone, using established protocols
- Establish priorities for patient care, monitor and evaluate progress
- Oversee discharge-planning activities
- Provide professional assistance to health care finders
- Negotiate, write, finalize, and administer product/service agreements
- Design and present computer-generated outcome analysis information
Requirements
- U.S. Citizenship required
- A minimum of two (2) years nursing experience
- Must be certified as a case manager by a recognized certifying organization
- Current RN license; full, active, and unrestricted license as a Registered Nurse
- Must maintain current certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS)
- Knowledge and skill in using pre-established utilization review criteria
- Knowledge of the healthcare financial environment
