About the role

  • Collaborate with subject matter experts, engineers, and product managers to gather highly complex information, ensuring technical accuracy and transforming insights into engaging content for diverse audiences.
  • Create and maintain style guides, templates, and content standards, overseeing the documentation lifecycle including drafting, reviewing, publishing, and updating materials.
  • Review and edit materials for punctuation, grammar, contextual accuracy, and overall quality, reorganizing content and editing graphics, tables, and illustrations as needed.
  • Develop processes for crafting and refining highly complex and articulate articles, cultivating sources to produce high-quality content.
  • Update and improve existing knowledge bases, managing document revisions and ensuring the approval and accuracy of content.
  • Create training materials, job aids, work instructions, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to support knowledge transfer and problem resolution.
  • Accurately record decisions, action items, and key discussions from meetings, creating official records and communicating documentation changes to customers, management, and operation staff.
  • Gain a deep understanding of systems and services, translating complex information into simple, polished, and engaging content for successful user experiences.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 8 years of technical writing or related experience
  • 5+ Years of experience developing comprehensive documentation that meets organizational and customer standards.
  • 5+ Years of experience writing, formatting, and organizing deep technical knowledge into documents that can be incorporated into document sharing platforms.
  • Experience reviewing knowledge management systems and knowledge artifacts.
  • Ability to distill complex information into clear, concise text with a strong command of English grammar, style, and syntax; work independently to deliver accurate content under deadline pressure.
  • Demonstrate advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite (including Excel pivot tables and charts), Project, SharePoint (document management and Power Automate), Visio (diagrams and swimlanes), and Adobe Acrobat Pro (form creation with drop-down fields and signatures).
  • Experience and familiarity with ITIL and ITSM concepts and technology, such as ServiceNow and Jira Service Management.
  • Technical understanding of computer networks, IT security, IT risk management (RMF), usability testing, design specifications, Scrum practices, requirements gathering, and an understanding of software development (SDLC).
