About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Support business, functional, and technical requirements across DIRP-II applications (IRRU, IBUC, IIC, MSID, MDM)
Work with senior business analysts, developers, testers, and government stakeholders
Create and document business, functional, and technical requirements
Create QA test cases and execute test plans
Participate in all stages of the Software Development Lifecycle
Develop use cases, create and review requirements, support application discussions, testing, and deployment preparation
Maintain and update functional specifications, user guides, test plans, release notes, and other project documentation
Use JIRA to create and manage tickets, user stories, and acceptance criteria
Support testing in development, quality assurance, and user acceptance testing environments
Capture and distribute meeting minutes
Learn DIRP systems and processes and build application knowledge
Develop technical capabilities including data analysis and SQL skills
Demonstrate problem-solving skills

Requirements

What you’ll need

US Citizenship required
Ability to obtain DMDC Position of Trust
BA/BS or equivalent related field
3–5 years of relevant experience in business analysis, testing, technical writing, or project coordination
Requirements gathering, workflow creation, process analysis, use case development, and translating requirements into actionable solutions
Manual or automated testing experience
Experience creating technical specifications, functional specifications, user manuals, or similar artifacts
Software project management and management of cross-functional team deliverables
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Detail-oriented and eager to learn
Working knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
JIRA and SQL familiarity is a plus, but not required
Ability to learn and work with QA test automation platforms
Ability to work with medium- to high-complexity IT systems
Analytical thinking and excellent communication skills
