About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support engineer engagement within assigned territory by identifying key firms and driving specification of Generac products
- Educate and influence engineering firms on Generac’s Data Center energy solutions
- Provide onsite and remote technical sales support for Generac Industrial products
- Utilize tools (PDSS, fly-ins, visits, Engineering Symposium, Power Design Pro, etc.) to support and educate the engineering community
- Provide real-time voice‑of‑customer feedback to management
- Assist National Account Manager, Account Manager(s) on projects to ensure Generac products are specified and sourced
- Develop sales tools and competitive analyses while researching and qualifying engineering firms and EPC/GC Construction firms using Dodge Analytics
- Co-present engineering training seminars and support “train‑the‑trainer” initiatives; perform additional duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- BS Electrical, Computer, or Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum 3 years of technical sales/sales support experience within Data Center Market
- Willing to travel 50% of the time
- Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering
- Data Center electrical/mechanical design
- Experience with BESS and/or micro-grid energy solutions
- Translate complex metrics into meaningful, actionable insights
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint expertise, including building and maintaining complex models
- Strong influence and collaboration skills across all organizational levels without direct authority
- Effective multitasker with the ability to thrive in fast‑paced environments
- Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and leadership skills; self‑starter with initiative and vision
- Use of Salesforce as a CRM
