About the role
- Develop technical and commercial solutions to support the Data Center sales team.
- Listen, understand and convey customer requirements.
- Prepare, coordinate and respond to functional and technical elements of customer RFQs.
- Provide technical support for the integration of Generac products with other Data Center equipment.
- Present technical solutions and options to external customers.
- Maintain professional business relationships within target accounts.
- Identify customer's needs and sales opportunities.
- Resolve customer issues or difficulties.
- Partner with both internal and external suppliers to design and specify complete solutions.
- Perform technical/ product training for sales people, estimators, and engineers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
- 5+ years’ experience working in an Engineering role
- Experience reading architectural, mechanical and electrical blueprints
- Experience with and understanding of network communications technology (Internet, Intranet, VPN, TCP/IP, Ethernet, etc.)
- Proficient with industrial standards, UL, NEC, ASME, IEC, NEMA
- Familiar with Data Center design standards like Uptime Institute
