About the role
- gener8tor’s turnkey platform for the creative economy connects startups, entrepreneurs, artists, investors, universities and corporations.
- Elevate awareness of gener8tor programs and partner accounts through storytelling, proactive media outreach, and account management.
- Own PR intake and account management; triage requests, translate goals into briefs, set timelines/SLAs, and keep stakeholders updated.
- Plan and execute account-specific PR campaigns for OnRamp, gBETA, Investment & Skills Accelerators, and Creative Music.
- Draft co-branded press materials (press releases, media advisories, pitches, talking points, bylines, case studies) and ensure brand alignment.
- Proactively pitch stories to media, coordinate media moments, and secure coverage to drive program KPIs and partner visibility.
- Maintain reporting (coverage, reach, message pull-through, backlinks, SOV) and build targeted media lists.
- Package earned media for amplification across social, newsletters, web, and events; uphold partner approval workflows and CRM/PRM hygiene.
- Support issues/crisis communications and manage multiple projects while meeting SLAs and deadlines.
Requirements
- Proficient English – Level C1–C2.
- 2+ years in public relations, communications, or agency account work (startup, VC, tech, creative, or corporate-innovation experience a plus).
- Demonstrated success placing stories and running PR campaigns; strong reporter and creator relationships preferred.
- Exceptional writing and editing skills, with an eye for clear, concise, on-brand messaging.
- Proven account management capability: high-volume inbox/queue management, prioritization, stakeholder comms, and on-time delivery.
- Familiarity with PR tools (e.g., Cision, Muck Rack, Meltwater), project tools (e.g., Asana, Trello), CRM (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce), and Google Workspace.
- Strong attention to detail; excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Comfort collaborating cross-functionally with Marketing, Partnerships, and program leads.
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, PR, journalism, marketing, or related field (preferred).
- Event support experience (press check-ins, on-site coordination, speaker prep) (a plus).
- Entrepreneurial spirit and a self-starter.
