About the role
- GeneDx is seeking a high-performing, strategically minded Regional Sales Director (RSD) to lead a team to execute sales goals across a defined region focused on expanding access to GeneDx’s advanced genetic testing solutions within General Pediatrics.
- Drive regional growth by achieving and exceeding sales goals in the Coastal Southeast region.
- Lead and develop a regional team of RAEs focused on General Pediatricians, mentoring and coaching for success.
- Spend significant time in the field with RAEs to guide objectives and provide strategic, in-the-moment coaching.
- Manage the region's budget and analyze performance data for resource allocation.
- Collaborate with Marketing, Training, Market Access, Client Experience, and Enterprise teams to align field efforts and drive consistent execution.
- Lead onboarding and ongoing training for regional hires and maintain deep product knowledge.
- Promote GeneDx cultural principles and growth mindset across the team.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, sciences or related field.
- 8–10 years’ experience in a relevant industry/commercial environment as a sales professional and sales leader.
- Knowledge of, and experience in, the Diagnostics/Genetics/Genomics industry strongly preferred
- Experience within complex selling environments with payer reimbursement knowledge and ability to prioritize and align organizational goals and objectives with selling processes
- Must live within the region they support
- Must have a valid driver license and a vehicle to use for work on a daily basis
- Ability to quickly learn technical and disease state information
- Excels in a rapidly changing, competitive environment
- Demonstrates excellent written and verbal skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Ability to travel 40–60%, including possibly nights or weekends to attend conferences, meetings, special events, etc.
