About the role

  • GeneDx is seeking a high-performing, strategically minded Regional Sales Director (RSD) to lead a team to execute sales goals across a defined region focused on expanding access to GeneDx’s advanced genetic testing solutions within General Pediatrics.
  • Drive regional growth by achieving and exceeding sales goals in the Coastal Southeast region.
  • Lead and develop a regional team of RAEs focused on General Pediatricians, mentoring and coaching for success.
  • Spend significant time in the field with RAEs to guide objectives and provide strategic, in-the-moment coaching.
  • Manage the region's budget and analyze performance data for resource allocation.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Training, Market Access, Client Experience, and Enterprise teams to align field efforts and drive consistent execution.
  • Lead onboarding and ongoing training for regional hires and maintain deep product knowledge.
  • Promote GeneDx cultural principles and growth mindset across the team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, sciences or related field.
  • 8–10 years’ experience in a relevant industry/commercial environment as a sales professional and sales leader.
  • Knowledge of, and experience in, the Diagnostics/Genetics/Genomics industry strongly preferred
  • Experience within complex selling environments with payer reimbursement knowledge and ability to prioritize and align organizational goals and objectives with selling processes
  • Must live within the region they support
  • Must have a valid driver license and a vehicle to use for work on a daily basis
  • Ability to quickly learn technical and disease state information
  • Excels in a rapidly changing, competitive environment
  • Demonstrates excellent written and verbal skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Ability to travel 40–60%, including possibly nights or weekends to attend conferences, meetings, special events, etc.
