Design, deploy, and manage data center infrastructure, including power distribution, cooling systems, network connectivity, and server hardware.
Serve as a subject matter expert for Windows Server administration, including Active Directory, Group Policy, patch management, and performance tuning.
Maintain and troubleshoot virtualization platforms such as VMware vSphere and Microsoft Hyper-V.
Configure and support Veeam Backup & Replication solutions, ensuring robust backup, recovery, and disaster recovery capabilities.
Collaborate with infrastructure and platform teams to develop and maintain infrastructure-as-code (IaC) using tools like Terraform and Ansible.
Automate infrastructure management tasks using scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell).
Implement and maintain robust physical and logical security measures within the data center environment.
Monitor infrastructure performance, proactively identifying and resolving potential issues to ensure system reliability and efficiency.
Troubleshoot complex hardware and software issues, coordinating with vendors for resolution as needed.
Participate in the on-call rotation to provide 24/7 support for critical infrastructure components.
Document infrastructure configurations, processes, and procedures to ensure knowledge sharing and operational consistency.
Stay abreast of the latest technologies and industry best practices in data center infrastructure, virtualization, monitoring, containerization, and backup/recovery.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
5+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering or system administration, with 3+ years focused on Windows Server environments.
Hands-on experience with Windows Server administration (Active Directory, DNS/DHCP, GPO, WSUS, file/print services).
Strong understanding of core data center components: power, cooling, networking, and server hardware.
Proficiency with virtualization platforms such as VMware vSphere and Microsoft Hyper-V.
Experience implementing and managing Veeam Backup & Replication.
Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools like Terraform or Ansible.
Familiarity with scripting and automation in languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
Solid understanding of networking protocols and technologies (TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, switching).
Experience with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, or Veeam ONE.
Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills.
Strong communication and collaboration abilities, with the capacity to work independently and within cross-functional teams.
