About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop and lead the company’s overall tax strategy aligned with business objectives
  • Monitor and interpret changes in tax legislation and assess impact on the organization
  • Oversee all aspects of global tax compliance (Direct/Indirect tax and transfer pricing)
  • Ensure accurate and timely tax reporting (ASC 740 / IFRS equivalent) and disclosures
  • Serve as the primary executive interface with tax authorities across multiple jurisdictions
  • Lead and manage large, complex tax audits, examinations, and disputes
  • Partner with external advisors and legal counsel on high-stakes tax controversies
  • Lead tax planning for domestic and international operations
  • Oversee transfer pricing policies and intercompany transactions
  • Establish and maintain strong internal controls over tax processes
  • Ensure compliance with SOX and other regulatory requirements
  • Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing tax team
  • Manage external advisors, consultants, and auditors
  • Foster cross-functional collaboration with finance, legal, treasury, and operations

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master’s preferred)
  • CPA, or advanced tax certification strongly preferred
  • 20+ years of progressive tax experience, including leadership roles
  • Demonstrated experience leading large-scale tax audits and managing significant tax controversies with global tax authorities
  • Deep expertise in corporate tax, international tax, and transfer pricing
  • Experience in a multinational organization and/or public company environment
