About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own the Family Safety capability roadmap, prioritize the backlog, and decide what ships and when
- Define product capabilities and balance priorities across household protection scenarios
- Make build-versus-extend-versus-vendor decisions and own the strategic and economic case
- Write detailed product requirements covering edge cases, device constraints, and cross-surface implications
- Close capability-definition questions with UX, engineering, legal/privacy, and business stakeholders
- Define success metrics for each capability
- Serve as the connective tissue across UX, engineering, legal/privacy, business stakeholders, and partner product leadership
- Run planning and alignment sessions and keep decisions moving without formal authority
- Structure capabilities for partner integration through APIs and SDKs
- Navigate device OS fragmentation, cross-device enforcement complexity, and platform constraints
- Work with legal, privacy, and government relations on COPPA, GDPR, age verification, time-limited access, and parental-control interoperability requirements
- Translate regulatory requirements into capability features supporting business development and GTM opportunities
- Communicate priorities, tradeoffs, and timelines to senior leadership and product partners
- Write product briefs and strategy documents that drive decisions
Requirements
What you’ll need- 3–8+ years of product management experience, including meaningful time owning a complex consumer product (multi-device, multi-user, cross-platform, or regulatory constraint)
- Demonstrated track record shipping products end-to-end, from discovery through launch and iteration based on real user feedback
- Strong technical fluency, including device constraints, cross-device communication, API feasibility, and architectural implications
- Exceptional written and verbal communication; ability to write product briefs and strategy memos and present to senior leadership
- Proven ability to drive cross-functional alignment across UX, engineering, and business stakeholders without formal authority
- Demonstrated experience leveraging AI tools in product work, including requirements gathering, competitive analysis, documentation, and decision-making
- Experience in safety-critical or privacy-sensitive products strongly preferred
- Background in family-oriented products, mobile security, or consumer protection strongly preferred
- Understanding of device OS constraints, mobile platform limitations, or cross-device enforcement strongly preferred
- Experience translating evolving regulations into product requirements and roadmap priorities strongly preferred
