Payroll

• Perform all payroll and timekeeping responsibilities accurately on a daily basis at their assigned project site
• Act as a liaison between the home office payroll and project site
• Help champion our timekeeping technology
• Manage the working operation of timekeeping hardware/software
• Assist with entering new hire information/terminations into ADP
• Ensure the introduction of employee information into the time allocation tool and mJobTime
• Ensure that all hours in the timekeeping software are paid to employees via ADP
• Maintain accurate records & files and maintain payroll records in accordance with policy & procedure
• Support timekeeping system setup & configuration in accordance with project site requirements and in coordination with Home Office
• Process the records for hours worked by employees at the project site in accordance with company policy & procedures
• Ensure that hours are accurate; and follow up to resolve discrepancies
• Provide discrepancy and/or trending reports to management
• Work directly with Home Office payroll to ensure timely & accurate processing of payroll
• Act as primary contact for questions regarding payroll and timekeeping and respond timely to employee requests
• Sort and distribute payroll checks in a timely manner
• Receive and process weekly payroll changes, including automatic direct deposits, tax changes, pay rate changes, and union status changes
• Demonstrate knowledge & understanding of any labor agreements for the project site, and support Union reporting
• Collaborate with project controls with respect to timekeeping and time allocation process flows, and technology configuration
• Support management in preparing final checks

Payroll & Timekeeping Specialist

Manager

• The Project Commissioning Manager oversees the commissioning team for their assigned project to ensure safe and efficient commissioning of the equipment.
• In this role, you will be reporting to the Director of Commissioning.
• Leads the commissioning effort for their assigned project including the allocation of staff, construction support and technical field advisors.
• Reports the Director of Commissioning for the implementation of commissioning standards, project planning, execution and closeout.
• Assists with project planning including staffing selection, policy development, development of commissioning specifications, and commissioning process improvement.
• Accountable to the Project Manager for the execution of commissioning activities on the assigned project including forecasting and adherence to agreed schedule & budget.
• Acts as the primary authorized employee for their project’s commissioning safe work program and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) programs.
• Demonstrates working knowledge of Gemma Commissioning Standards and correctly implements those standards for their assigned project.
• Attends & participates in the project monthly meeting and project kick off meetings.
• Leads the Commissioning Plan of the Day meeting.
• Ensures accurate records are maintained for the commissioning effort including turnover packages, punchlist items, supplier factory acceptance test (FAT) reports, operational logs, and others as required.
• Develops the field commissioning plans, in coordination with assigned staff, that adhere to the commissioning standards, manufacturer, and regulatory requirements for assigned project.
• Reviews supplier FAT reports and ensures that discrepancies are incorporated into commissioning planning if not resolved.
• Reviews design specifications, drawings, and test plans to ensure minimal field changes are required for commissioning.
• Supports Gemma’s on-the-job (OTJ) training and intern programs in order to foster the development of new talent.
• Supports the Project Warranty Manager for transition to the warranty period prior to project handover to Owner, and supports resolution of warranty claims as requested.
• Supports engineering with the performance testing process.

Project Commissioning Manager

• Will have oversight staff assigned to the warranty process.
• Develop the warranty claim procedure in accordance with the agreement and review with Owner.
• Upon acceptance of the facility by the Owner, implement the warranty claim process.
• Diligently manage the warranty claim process from receipt of claim to agreement of closure by the Owner.
• Hold regular meetings to ensure stakeholders are up to date and held accountable.
• Maintain a strong understanding of EPC, OEM, and supplier agreements.
• Familiar with the engineered documents for the project including specifications, drawings, manuals, turnover documentation and as built drawings.
• Maintain records and track the resolution of all warranty work.
• Understand & enforce adherence to the Gemma safety policies as it pertains to the execution warranty activities.
• Able to understand and guide a multi-discipline troubleshooting process.
• Engage the Project Manager, Project Commissioning Manager, General Superintendent, Procurement Manager, and Engineering team as required to support the efficient & timely resolution to of warranty claims.
• Responsible for validating warranty costs and reports to the Director of Commissioning and the Project Managers.
• Act as primary point of contact with subcontractors, suppliers, and Owner for the submission, coordination, and resolution of all warranty claims.
• Provide guidance to operation and maintenance personnel during the warranty process.
• Produce schedules and outage plans for warranty item resolution and system/equipment outages.
• Ensure warranty-related work is executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with contract requirements.
• Review punchlist prior to project turnover to Owner and assist in resolution & close as required.
• Communicate with the key members of the installation and commissioning teams to be aware of ongoing project issues and to keep them appraised of warranty claims, which may require their assistance.
