About the role

  • Develop technical work instructions for Corrective and Preventive Maintenance in accordance with Integrated Safety Management System principles
  • Interface with Work Task requestor to fully define the scope of work
  • Serve as the Subject Matter Expert for the Integrated Work Control Process
  • Interface with other Subject Matter Experts to facilitate Scoping and Hazard Analysis (JHA) walkdowns
  • Engage appropriate SMEs to identify appropriate Lock Out / Tag Out (LOTO) procedures, as necessary
  • Involve required SMEs during work package review/approval and incorporate feedback throughout the process
  • Own the work package from initiation to close out, including records disposition
  • Execute the Change Control Process when conditions require a revision of the work instructions
  • Use Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) software to status and track work package during the planning process
  • Participate in Schedule Meetings to provide work package status updates and ensure alignment with site priorities

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 3+ years of relevant experience
  • United States (U.S.) citizenship required
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a government issued clearance, if needed
  • Knowledge of and experience with facility maintenance planning including systems engineering design and maintenance, safety/authorization basis, configuration management programs, work control, facility control systems, major construction projects, and upgrades and renovations
  • Expertise in conducting research, investigating and identifying alternative solutions to solve complex problems affecting facility maintenance and administration
  • Full understanding of work hazards, safety practices, operating configuration
  • Knowledge of Integrated Safety Management Systems (ISMS) implementation, and OSHA requirements for safe work performance
  • Ability to perform duties and tasks that are varied and complex
  • Ability to serve as a resource to others in the resolution of problems and issues
  • Required level of language skills, mathematical skills, communication skills, reasoning ability and computer skills necessary to perform essential functions
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) required
  • Able to develop approaches for new or improved processes
  • Ability to work with broad objectives, with latitude to determine the best way to accomplish tasks
  • Able to lead certain aspects of a task or project
  • Must be able to complete and maintain all training and qualifications required for the position
  • Experience in using Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) software is preferred
  • Prior US Department of Energy Nuclear experience is preferred
