About the role
- Support the Propulsion Plant Team Trainer (PPTT) project, engaged in design, production, testing, and delivery of advanced training simulators
- Perform electrical drafting
- Collaborate with engineers to create or modify designs and drawings for PPTT equipment
- Review Supplier electrical designs for adherence to technical requirements
- Work as part of a multi-site organization and collaborate across Bettis Atomic Power Laboratory and other NNL sites
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited college or university
- 3+ years of relevant experience
- United States (U.S.) citizen
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a government issued clearance, if needed
- Experience performing electrical drafting
- Collaborate with engineers to create or modify designs and drawings for PPTT equipment
- Review Supplier electrical designs for adherence to technical requirements
- Proficiency performing electrical engineering drafting
- Knowledge of drafting standards and techniques
- Experience creating or reviewing electrical engineering designs based on approved technical requirements
- Proficiency with engineering software including SolidWorks, SolidWorks Electrical, and/or AutoCAD
- Proficiency with Programmable Logic Controllers, low voltage electrical distribution, audiovisual, or telecommunications systems
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products
