About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform professional and/or hospital billing and collection functions for clinical service lines
- Handle secondary collections, cash posting, accounts receivable resolution, adjustments, credit balance resolution, revenue enhancement and cash flow
- Execute revenue management activities to ensure cost effectiveness and organizational efficiency
- Coordinate activities with revenue management functions and third-party payers
- Communicate billing, insurance follow-up, cash flow, cash application, revenue enhancement, profitability, customer service and accounts receivable results to leadership and senior management
- Work with other areas to coordinate revenue management needs
- Participate in a minimum of sixty hours of classroom training per year
- Contribute to strategic plan development when required
- Develop, implement and direct quality initiatives for continuous revenue management process improvement
- Perform departmental operating functions within predetermined limits and achieve performance and quality targets
- Analyze and report trends and issues to the supervisor and manager
- Satisfy job-specific obligations and comply with organizational policies and procedures
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED) required
- Associate's Degree preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of related work experience required
- Communication skills
- Computer literacy
- Knowledge of the regulatory environment in financial services
- Teamwork
- Must satisfy all job-specific obligations
- Must comply with organization policies and procedures
- Does not qualify for J-1 waiver
