About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • The Pharmacist Consultant is the clinical content and workflow lead or support for all pharmacy enablement engagements.
  • Responsible for business case development, implementation planning, referral and operational workflows.
  • Leads or supports clinical aspects of channel pharmacy business case development for partner health systems.
  • Provides clinical validation and support to data assumptions and analysis used to develop pharmacy business plans.
  • Develops best practice policies and procedures where applicable, including but not limited to, clinical medication protocols for existing and new therapies.
  • Assesses, recommends, and implements workflows, including standard documentation, informatics tools, and bi-directional communication between referring clinic staff and pharmacy teams.
  • Develops recommended initial staffing model and hours of operation based upon economic volume indicators for clinics and discharges.
  • Recommends, provides guidance, and supports the implementation of business operations and workflow.
  • Effectively engages with Geisinger or all partner health system clinic stakeholders to inform business plan development process.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's Degree-Pharmacy (Required)
  • Master's Degree-Business Administration/Management (Preferred)
  • Minimum of 2 years-Related work experience (Required)
  • Licensed Pharmacist - Default Issuing Body
  • Skills: Communication, Critical Thinking, Interpersonal Communication, Organizing
