About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Assist in documenting and maintaining data governance policies, standards, and procedures.
- Support data cataloging efforts by helping classify and organize critical data assets.
- Collaborate with data stewards and business teams to ensure adherence to data quality and compliance requirements.
- Participate in data lineage and metadata management activities to improve transparency and traceability.
- Contribute to data quality assessments and reporting, identifying gaps and recommending improvements.
- Activities to enhance the mastering of organizational data.
- Help prepare presentations and dashboards to communicate governance metrics and progress to stakeholders.
- Support the creation of user learning materials.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Basic understanding of data governance concepts (catalog, glossary, data quality, metadata, lineage, master data management, reference data management).
- Familiarity with SQL, Excel, or data visualization tools is a plus.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Fervent attention to detail.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED)- (Required).
