Key responsibilities & impact

Independently lead complex, ambiguous analytics claims initiatives from problem definition through delivery, with clearly defined business outcomes and successful metrics.
Translate unclear stakeholder requests into structured hypotheses, analytical frameworks, and decision-ready insights for senior leadership.
Own the end-to-end design and delivery of complex claims analytical data models and high-impact Power BI dashboards, delivering clear, usable insights through strong storytelling and thoughtful design.
Write and optimize SQL queries to extract and transform claims data from enterprise sources, solving ambiguous analytical problems through deep root-cause analysis and insight generation.
Lead sophisticated analytical problem-solving using DAX, statistical methods, and trend analysis.
Ensure analytical rigor, data integrity, and governance across all owned datasets and reporting solutions.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree or higher with a minimum of 6 years of analytical experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
4 + years’ experience in P&C insurance industry, preferably within claims.
Expert level proficiency in Power BI, including semantic modeling, advanced DAX, and visualization best practices.
Knowledge of SQL, with experience performing data pulls, joins, and aggregations on large datasets.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable business insights.
Knowledge of innovative methodologies, processes, and principles.
Effective communicator and collaborator, with the ability to partner cross functionally to translate data and analytical requirements into deliver measurable and actionable outcomes.
Ability to adapt and learn quickly in a fast-paced environment while balancing multiple priorities.
