About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide customer service to our policyholders
  • Assure coverage for each loss and policy provisions
  • Investigate all aspects of the claim to determine liability
  • Identify and evaluate claims indicators of fraud
  • Utilize claims tools to evaluate liability and damages
  • Negotiate claims settlements with insureds, claimants and/or attorneys
  • Authorize negotiated payment for established damages
  • Ensure all compliance requirements are met
  • Adjust reserves on all new and existing claims
  • Communicate findings to claims management team

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum five (5) years of highly successful Bodily Injury claims handling experience
  • Must have prior private passenger automotive liability claims experience
  • Must have an active Adjuster license at time of hire
  • Outstanding customer service and professional communication skills, both oral and written
  • Understanding and ability to execute and comply with Department of Insurance Guidelines
  • Exceptional negotiating skills
  • Proficient computer skills with ability to function in Microsoft Office
  • Highly organized
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize successfully in a fast paced, high-volume environment
  • Litigation handling experience, preferred but not required
