About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Provide customer service to our policyholders
Assure coverage for each loss and policy provisions
Investigate all aspects of the claim to determine liability
Identify and evaluate claims indicators of fraud
Utilize claims tools to evaluate liability and damages
Negotiate claims settlements with insureds, claimants and/or attorneys
Authorize negotiated payment for established damages
Ensure all compliance requirements are met
Adjust reserves on all new and existing claims
Communicate findings to claims management team

Requirements

What you’ll need

Minimum five (5) years of highly successful Bodily Injury claims handling experience
Must have prior private passenger automotive liability claims experience
Must have an active Adjuster license at time of hire
Outstanding customer service and professional communication skills, both oral and written
Understanding and ability to execute and comply with Department of Insurance Guidelines
Exceptional negotiating skills
Proficient computer skills with ability to function in Microsoft Office
Highly organized
Ability to multi-task and prioritize successfully in a fast paced, high-volume environment
Litigation handling experience, preferred but not required
