About the role
- Defend lawsuits filed in Florida courts
- Research laws and prepare legal briefs, opinions, and memoranda
- Render opinions on liability, damages, and value
- Prepare and handle pleadings, motions, and discovery
- Defend by trial or dispositive hearing all matters assigned
Requirements
- 2-6+ years of experience in litigation experience in insurance/defense/and or personal injury
- Juris Doctor degree REQUIRED
- Admission to the Florida Bar REQUIRED
- Must be licensed in good standing to practice law in Florida
- Must be able to travel as required
- Must be able to document files in a clear, concise, professional written manner
- Must be able to follow complex instructions and resolve conflicts
- Strong organization/priority setting and multi-tasking skills
- Must communicate in a professional manner
