About the role
- Support the legal team by providing comprehensive data analysis and insights
- Collect, organize, and analyze legal data to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies
- Collaborate with attorneys and other legal professionals for accurate and timely data reporting
- Enhance the efficiency of legal processes and contribute to the legal department's success
- Perform complex statistical analysis and predictive modeling
- Gather, process, and clean data from various sources
- Lead or participate in data science projects aimed at developing new methodologies
- Create detailed reports and visualizations using business intelligence software (PowerBI)
- Recommend process improvements through data-driven insights and workflow automation tools
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (equivalent work experience may be considered)
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience
- Strong proficiency in tools and languages such as Excel, SQL, Power BI, R, Alteryx, Python, Azure, and Snowflake
- Comfortable writing complex formulas and queries to support scalable data architecture and insights delivery
- Experience with AI/ML is a plus
- Experience working with or in an insurance company, legal department, or law firm preferred
