About the role
- Lead design, architecture, and implementation of complex network solutions
- Develop and maintain network standards, policies, and best practices
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement innovative network technologies
- Evaluate emerging technologies and industry trends for strategic recommendations
- Drive initiatives to improve network performance through optimization and monitoring
- Serve as a subject matter expert for complex network issues
- Represent network engineering team in meetings with senior leadership
- Mentor and coach engineering and product community
Requirements
- 12+ years of professional experience in Network Engineering
- 10+ years of experience with architecture and design
- 6+ years of experience in open-source frameworks
- 6+ years of experience with AWS, GCP, Azure, or another cloud service
- Expert-level knowledge of networking protocols including TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, QoS, SDN, and SD-WAN
- Extensive hands-on experience with network equipment from vendors like Cisco, Aruba, and Palo Alto Networks
- Strong understanding of network security principles
- Demonstrated leadership and mentorship skills
- Highly proficient in architecture assessment and proposals
