About the role

  • Drive the technical BCDR strategy ensuring alignment with business and regulatory goals.
  • Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and lead the architecture of resilient systems.
  • Serve as a leader within the Architecture Review Board.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive incident response plans and runbooks.
  • Lead the SRE strategy by establishing Service Level Objectives and monitoring error budgets.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to executive stakeholders and mentor senior engineering talent.
  • Analyze costs and forecast data for strategic financial stewardship.

Requirements

  • 12+ years of professional software development experience
  • 10+ years of experience with architecture and design
  • 6+ years of experience in open-source frameworks
  • 6+ years of experience with AWS, GCP, Azure, or another cloud service
  • Fluency and specialization in software development using modern programming languages.
  • Deep knowledge of SRE practices, methodologies, and principles.
  • Strong background in incident management including creating incident response playbooks.
  • Expertise in distributed systems architecture and replication topologies.
  • Understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases with optimization strategies.
  • In-depth knowledge of hybrid cloud architecture, IaaS, PaaS technologies, and container orchestration platforms.
  • Experience with infrastructure automation and configuration management frameworks.
  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills.
  • Visionary thinker anticipating future challenges in resilience and governance.
  • Proven track record of delivering complex engineering projects in large organizations.
