About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead sales distribution of GEICO’s recreational products, including motorcycle, boat, and RV, through the independent agency channel
  • Grow revenue with independent agents specializing in recreational lines
  • Execute the product expansion roadmap and gain agency preference
  • Manage a subset of recreational-lines specialist agencies through in-person, virtual, phone, and email interactions
  • Deliver training and manage agency performance
  • Coach and mentor Agency Operations Managers and Business Developers
  • Partner with the Recreational Lines Product team to develop and execute the RV, Motorcycle, and Boat roadmap
  • Identify opportunities and gather competitor intelligence
  • Document processes for prospecting, qualifying, and onboarding new recreational-lines agencies
  • Develop training processes for principals, agents, and representatives
  • Monitor agent performance against action plans and take corrective actions as needed
  • Create and deliver quarterly sales plans, updates, and leadership reports
  • Interact with state and industry association groups to determine growth efforts
  • Collaborate on onboarding, training, and development plans for new sales processes
  • Travel overnight countrywide

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Candidates must reside near a major airport, preferably in Texas or Florida
  • Overnight travel: 50%
  • Must be able to perform essential functions including seeing, hearing, typing, and speaking, with or without accommodation
  • Must be able to speak in a clear, empathic, and professional manner via phone
  • Must be able to meet in-person and virtual
  • Must be able to follow complex instructions, resolve conflicts or facilitate conflict resolution, and have strong organization/priority setting skills
  • Must be able to multi-task
  • Must be able to learn and apply large amounts of technical and procedural information
  • Bachelor’s degree or 3 years sales or relevant insurance or powersports experience
  • Prior experience driving sales results
  • Prior experience working with different lines of insurance a plus (P&C, Commercial)
  • Compliance with GEICO’s driving standards and/or policy
  • Adheres to the GEICO Code of Conduct, company policies and operating principles
  • Meets attendance standard at business location to perform necessary job functions and to facilitate interaction with subordinates and management
  • Valid driver’s license and auto insurance
  • Experience in Recreational Lines preferred
  • Experience with Independent Agencies preferred
