About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop and administer large-scale internal learning programs for the Clinical Operations Division in in-person and virtual environments
- Collaborate with clinical leaders and key stakeholders to assess learning and development needs
- Develop curricula and learning offerings aligned with business needs and strategic goals
- Partner with subject matter experts to develop, update, and expand in-person, blended, and virtual learning programs
- Provide orientation for new clinical staff and ongoing educational programs for existing staff
- Deliver training through interactive workshops, exercises, scenario-based training, webinars, on-demand training, and distance learning
- Monitor content for consistency, accuracy, clarity, navigation, best practices, and user experience
- Partner with an Instructional Designer to create digital training courses, materials, instructor guides, and other learning media
- Maintain knowledge of emerging clinical applications to support training-material development and delivery
- Recommend and use vendor programs aligned with instructional goals
- Facilitate programs reinforcing GEHA’s vision, corporate initiatives, strategy, and goals
- Monitor and evaluate training effectiveness through assessments, feedback, and performance-improvement tracking
- Work independently in collaboration with the management team
Requirements
What you’ll need- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a health-related field
- 5+ years of experience in clinical training, clinical education, or staff development in a healthcare setting
- Experience in managed care, provider networks, or population health training preferred
- Experience with clinical systems and platforms
- Familiarity with healthcare compliance regulations, including HIPAA and accreditation standards such as NCQA and URAC
- Experience with virtual and blended learning models
- Strong understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies
- In-depth knowledge of clinical workflows, care management, utilization management, and healthcare operations
- Excellent facilitation and presentation skills
- Ability to translate complex clinical concepts into engaging, easy-to-understand training materials
- Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple training initiatives simultaneously
- Exceptional communication and people skills
- Data-driven approach to assessing training effectiveness and identifying continuous-improvement opportunities
- Ability to provide non-cellular high-speed internet service such as fiber, DSL, or cable modem for a home office
- Minimum internet speed of 30 Mbps download and 5 Mbps upload
- Latency response time lower than 80 ms
- Hotspots, satellite, and wireless internet service are not allowed
- Dedicated workspace without ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI/HIPAA information
- Must reside outside U.S. territories and outside Alaska, Hawaii, California, Washington, Oregon, Colorado, Wyoming, Montana, New York, Connecticut, Vermont, Pennsylvania, and Maine
